The Drôme area



The Drôme area, located between the cities of
Lyon and Avignon, is a crossroad between the
Alps and the nearby Provence with its
Mediterranean scents, its gentle hills and
dramatic mountains.

 
   


The landscapes are extremely diverse : on one part, the mountainous Vercors, on the other part the charm of the colourful Drôme Provencale. With its many traditions, rich cultural heritage, you will discover festivals, celebrations of all sorts, ‘terroir’ products tastings, museum and old castles ...
 
 
The Drôme Valley


The Drôme Valley, where our gîtes are, includes many valleys and plains with a particularly mild climate.

From the hill tops, the Drôme valley offers open views onto spacious sunflower fields, lavender fields, corn fields, but also vineyards and pine/oak forests.

The choice for walks and rides are infinite. The Drôme is one of the French area where you can find the most signposted walks, all listed by the local tourism offices.

The mildness of the climate usually enables you to use the swimming pool from May to September and to enjoy outdoor life from April to October.

No doubt the Drôme Valley will enchant you. The longer you spend time in it, the more you love it!
